Banquet Facilities
The Fruitvale Memorial Centre, the most modern facility in the West Kootenays, has a capacity of 300. With its modern kichen, bar, sound system, handicap elevator and more, it's the perfect place to hold your special event.

If a smaller room is what you need, the Club Room, located on the lower floor of the Fruitvale Memorial Centre, has a comfortable seating capacity of 60 and also has a modern kitchen.

Garbage Disposal
Residential garbage collection is done by the Public Works Department. Business and residential garbage is collected over two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) every week. Residential garbage must be placed in Village of Fruitvale garbage bags in order to be collected. These bags must be purchased at the Village of Fruitvale office. Garbage placed in ordinary garbage bags will not be picked up.

Curbside Recycling
Blue Box curbside recycling collection is done over two days (Thursday and Friday) every other week and is collected by Alpine Disposals.

Water System
Direct supply from Fruitvale and Kelly Creeks. Storage capacity of Fruitvale Tank is 1,091,040 litres (240,000 gallons), Mill Road Balancing Tank holds 454,600 litres (100,000 gallons), Kelly Creek reservoir holds 2,727,600 litres (600,000 gallons) and the water treatment plant holds 2,727,600 litres (600,000 gallons) for a total storage capcity of 7,000,840 litres (1,540,000 gallons). The western section of Fruitvale is serviced by the Beaver Falls Waterworks District. Water is treated with a series of sand filtration and ultra violet system then minimal chlorine is added to the water.
