Residential garbage must be placed in Village of Fruitvale garbage bags in order to be collected. These bags must be purchased at the Village of Fruitvale office. Garbage placed in ordinary garbage bags will not be picked up. Curbside Recycling Blue Box curbside recycling collection is done over two days (Thursday and Friday) every other week and is collected by Alpine Disposals. Storage capacity of Fruitvale Tank is 1,091,040 litres (240,000 gallons), Mill Road Balancing Tank holds 454,600 litres (100,000 gallons), Kelly Creek reservoir holds 2,727,600 litres (600,000 gallons) and the water treatment plant holds 2,727,600 litres (600,000 gallons) for a total storage capcity of 7,000,840 litres (1,540,000 gallons). The western section of Fruitvale is serviced by the Beaver Falls Waterworks District.
